“Behold the Heart which so loved mankind”!

I'm posting this mainly for the purpose of sharing with those that attended the retreat and were received into the Society of the Sacred Heart this past weekend. It was a blessed event and spiritually enriching. Congratulations, Beth, Lori and John!

Solemn High Mass for the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus - Celebrant: Msgr. Wach

Sermon in French (translated by Canon Talarico)

Celebrating the feast day with friends at Fogo de Chao in downtown Chicago. I highly recommend Fogos - I promise you will not be disappointed. They offer 15 different cuts of meat.

Interior awaiting to be restored to its original Italian Boroque style

Choir loft bearing the Institute's crest

Spiritual Conference given in French by Msgr. Wach, translated by Canon Talarico (left)

Blessing of the Crosses that will be received by new members of the Society of the Sacred Heart

RITE OF ADMISSION CEREMONY  (three new members are from Green Bay)
Lori requesting to be admitted into the Society

Lori receiving the cross

I like the expression on Monsignor's face

My Knight (John) requesting to be admitted into the Society

John receiving the cross

Beth requesting to be admitted into the Society

Again...I love Monsignor's expression

Newest Members of the Society of the Sacred Heart

Greek Islands in Chicago - fun time!

Lori "breaking bread"

I would be willing to bet that every waiter and waitress at this restaurant has a story about the flaming cheese. This guy singed an eyebrow (not during our visit)!
