7 Years Old Today

Someone turned seven. We cut our retreat short a few hours so we could get back to celebrate Gussy's Birthday today. We picked up a cake from the Cheesecake Factory on our way home. (I wish I had time to bake the shield cake I originally intended to make - maybe next year.) I found some really cute candles, too. He plays with legos EVERY day. Every boy should have legos. I firmly believe this.

He asked for legos and a squirt gun. He and the neighbor boys and younger siblings enjoyed what was left of the afternoon drenching each other.

Augustine is preparing to make his First Holy Communion this Sunday. I can't believe how quickly life passes. It seems like just yesterday we were praying at his bedside while he was in NICU. I am thankful that this affectionate little boy is still with us and so full of life! We love you, Gussy!
