Gabe turned 14 last week. He asked to get a job outside the home. I said no. He's too young. I told him he's welcome to ask neighbors to mow lawns or pick up doggy poop, but absolutely no payroll job.
He had a difficult time adjusting to the move to Minnesota. He's doing much better now.
Buying a gift for this 14 year old was not an option. I learned this from the then 13 year old boy last year. Money is always the best option.
Gabriel had his friend Ben (2 photos up on left) over for his birthday so they could work on this school project together. They did not get very far. Gabriel ended up finishing it on his own a week or so later. Gabriel is a procrastinator. I hope this changes as he transitions into high school next year.
