End of the Tween Years

All of the following took place on February 13th, but I'm posting today on her actual birthday.

Next year we will have 4 teens in the home again. Today, Magdalena turned 12!

I truly do not understand what all the hype is about. Mag and I waited in line for one hour to get a dozen Nadia cupcakes to celebrate her b-day. I think it's more about the novelty of the bakery than the product itself. My kids make tastier cupcakes and I'm not just being partial. Nadia's is worth a visit just to see the lovely decor. It's the happiest bakery I've ever seen with color me pink everything and elaborate high backed setees.

She and her best buds went iceskating at the Bielenburg. Every frigid climate should have such a place. There are 2 indoor rinks and 1 outdoor rink and an indoor field house. Kids need something fun and positive to do to pass the long and cold winters and this is such a place to do just that.
