And she already has a name - Seraphia Maria.
Seraphia was St. Veronica's name prior to wiping the face of our Lord during His passion. I had learned of this name through Seton when our children were homeschooling and when I read parts of The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ by Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. Her middle name - Maria - is the name in honor of our Blessed Mother. After reading The Story of the Soul about 15 years ago and learning that all the Martin girls were named after our Lady, I decided I would do the same with our girls. They all bear the middle name Maria (except Elizabeth, since I hadn't read the book soon enough.)
I felt bad (well, not really) feeling so joyful all day even though it is Ash Wednesday. But when the nurse called with the great news and told me to get pink ready and when the doctor called in the afternoon (because he didn't know the nurse already did) and repeated the same news, saying I was overjoyed would be an understatement. The kids are so excited, especially the girls. TWELVE years later and we are blessed with another little pink blossom.
*If you want to have a girl, give away all your girl clothes;)

Yay! Congratulations!!! That's a beautiful name. Everyone pregnant woman I know is having a girl. Maybe they will all connect throughout life.
