Do they look a little frozen? Welcome to winter, Wisconsin! (Technically it is still autumn. Go figure.)
Btw, it's a fun movie if one watches it simply to be entertained without expecting much of a story line or lesson in life. You won't find much in that department. One could derive a many "what not to dos" though. But if you appreciate a good musical this is definitely a movie for you. I was excited every time a character broke out into song or took out an instrument and strummed. The soundtrack was fantastic even though at times a little cheesy or had a misfit lyric or two. Overall, it was a very modern princessy kinda movie that warrants discussion with children about the actions of Elsa and the bad parenting techniques they used to deal with Elsa's powers. By the time a vague lesson is learned, it comes at the very end of the movie. Wait. Was there a lesson? It should have been introduced sooner to build upon and develop a show of triumph over our passions. I also did not care for the "Papa Berenstain Bear" kind of guy that Kristoff portrayed in the first half of the movie. At times, the animals Olaf (bumbling snowman) and Sven (intuitive moose) had more sense than the human characters, although I think they (the animals) stole the show with their silly antics. Will we purchase the DVD? Probably. I am a sucker for the music.

Good to know! Hopefully Netflix streaming picks it up. We are cheap in that dept.
ReplyDeleteBtw, had freezing rain today. It will warm up this week though.
