Holy Smoke! We have a Pope!
I've been watching a lot of EWTN these past few days while caring for a very sick baby. It has been such an awesome distraction watching the conclave procession, seeing the white smoke rise up from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel and praying with our new Holy Father Pope Francis for the first time today with countless others throughout the world. My daughter was especially excited as she is named after St. Francis - Francesca. We love you Holy Father! Praying for you and our Church!
Meanwhile, I have confined me and Joachim to the master bedroom since Sunday. He was showing signs of the RSV virus and it was confirmed at the doctor's office today. Lots of coughing triggers his reflux beyond imaginable and so I've resigned myself to getting puked on multiple times. I wait until the end of the day to shower or if it's too disgusting I change clothing until I can shower later. John ran out late last night to get a cool air mist humidifier so baby can breath easier. I keep getting strong temptations to pack up and get the ''h" out of this cold and plant our bottoms on a sunny beach down south. Mighty tempting I tell you!

I hope you can get out and take a nice tropical trip with Uncle John! I can't imagine dealing with the cold and wind(?) you must have coming from the lake. It's windy here, too, but probably 30 degrees warmer on any given day. Anyway, I'll pray everyone gets better soon. I'm glad you at least received some great news yesterday!!
