Johnny was insistant on making the Panda. I was reluctant because I knew it was too advanced for his age. He had to redo the face three times and I think the expression on Panda reflects how Johnny felt by the end of class. I see an apprehensive smile on the furry friend. He was also mildly annoyed because he painted the wrong side of the bears legs so he had to glue them on backwards. This was a long half day project cut up into chunks of time. He begged to finish despite the level of difficulty. That is virtuous in my book for a young 4 year old. I am very proud that he persevered. It still turned out pretty cute!
Wow! Those are great! We did the penguin the other day. I really want to sign up for her teaching art class in the spring. I think it would be so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWe could really get hooked on these lessons. The kids wanted to do more today and I had to tell them we didn't have time until Sunday. Did you use sulphite paper for the Penguin Art Project? I could not find any of that type of paper at Hobby Lobby.
DeleteI think art projects would be the most fun class to do at home. The ideas are endless and kids can easily get lost in their projects.
