Nathan exiting the ski lift
Two thilly thisters (unbeknownst to me, my duck feet prevented her from moving while Elizabeth was trying to take a photo and I didn't have a clue, 'till I finally looked down...laughter ensues.)
Gussy's first time skiing -GREAT JOB!
Gabriel and Nate (Amelia's BF) waving to their paparazzi
To the Left: Boredom. My kids abandoned me to my cool sister and their cool friends. This is me. Alone. On the ski lift, looking down. Debating whether or not to jump;-) Photo to the Right: Me....again. But not Alone. I have my trusty shadow. She and I skied down the hill together and kept each other company. I took her photo while skiing down the slope. We had an adventurous time.
Ok, so I'm talking to myself. The truth is that I WAS HAVING A LOT OF FUN WITHOUT ANYBODY! DID YOU HEAR THAT? NO ONE MOMMYING ME AND I WAS ANXIETY FREEEEEEEEEE!
Andrew's thought bubble..."YES! And I don't have to share my air space."
Our brief conversation this morning in front of the master bathroom mirror as I'm applying makeup and the Knight is combing his hair:Me: It's a good thing we're not rich or I'd get a facelift.
Him: It's a good thing we're not rich or I'd get a forklift!
Both of us burst out in laughter =D
That, my dear friends, is how differently men and women think.
And little Johnny didn't make the limelight. He was busy stinking up the lodge with a smelly diaper, as I was told.
*Footnote: I'm SUPER thankful to my daddy for sending us a generous gift that allowed this day to happen. I love you Dad! Hugs and Kisses from your grateful daughter:-)

I'm so glad you had such a great day! I bet you had to wait YEARS to actually be able to ski. With all the pregnancies and nursing infants preventing most of these trips. I'm so happy for you! Hope you have a nice easy week starting back up with school.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Either pregnant or nursing. I am really surprised that I'm not prego yet. I have taken fertility for granted and now that we are just waiting for a "plus sign" I'm taking advantage of this "free" time to do things I haven't in years. But...deep down I desire a pink, frilly baby;-)
ReplyDeleteAs for school- ugh, it's always difficult to get going again after a vacation. Like starting an engine after it's been at rest. The first few days are always LONG. On the positive, we're 2 weeks into the 3rd qtr. which doesn't make it so bad.
What a wonderful day! Thanks for sharing these photos!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun (except for actually going down the hill-I'm a big chicken!) Glad you had a good time. You are really moving along in your home schooling if you are already 2 weeks into the 3rd quarter! That's amazing with all the different levels you are doing!
