After glaring at a yellow spot on our lawn that just wouldn't go away, we decided it was just the place to situate the statue of Our Lady that was once housed on the lonely shadowed corner of the front porch. She decided to make her presence more known to our neighborhood and kept that patch of lawn from thriving!
Andrew and Elizabeth(two years ago) are seen here below with the fruit of a summer's hard work in cultivating and tending to such a garden.
An Act of Love to Mary: I love thee, O Mary, with all the love of the Eternal Father, Who created thee so lovely. I love thee, O Mary, with all the love of the Word who became incarnate in Thy bosom. I love thee, O Mary, with all the love of the Holy Spirit whose temple thou hast become. I love thee, O Mary, with all the love of all the angels and saints, with all the love of St. Joachim and St. Anne, St. Joseph and St. John. In all the places of the earth where a soul tells thee she loves thee, I unite myself to this soul, O Mary, and to all the Ave Marias that shall be said in the entire universe. Amen.
What a beautiful garden! I'm sure Mary loves it! She must be ensuring that it thrives. It's so rewarding to see the fruits of your labor, especially when they are so beautiful! Maybe you can plant a new Mary's Garden at the next place. That will be a great summer project for everyone. I really would like to put in a fountain with flowers in front of our place. I think the sound of running water is so calming and peaceful. I love our big trees except we are limited as to what we can plant. I guess you can't have everything and have to work with what you have. Enjoy the rest of the growing season!
