Almighty merciful Lord, by whose providence we are made, who forms us in secret, sees us when we are yet unborn, and in whose book all things will be written, I humbly beg You to accept this acknowledgement of Your power and to receive my most heartfelt praise and thanksgiving for Your goodness to me. See, O Lord, what Your own power has fashioned, and grant that this infant, Your creature, may be preserved by Your goodness. Grant that, made a member of Your Church through the grace of holy baptism, it may be carefully brought up to love and serve You in all piety and justice. Through Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
