Super Blood Moon Eclipse

One of the many reasons I miss living in the country is the ability to clearly see the stars at night - not happening in the city. The Super Blood Moon would have been that much more enjoyable against a dotted starry background. Nonetheless, it was a pretty awesome sight above the rooftops!

Elizabeth, on the other hand, is minoring in photography in college and got the best of both worlds: a campus out in the middle of nowhere with a blanketed starry sky coupled with the campus' nicest camera lens. It is a joy to live vicariously through my children. Fantastic photo, Lizzy!

Here we have a prime example of the effects of original sin - Gabriel and Gussy raising a little cain. Augustine wanted to look through Gabe's telescope and Gabe clearly doesn't know what sharing means, so he tried to punch him. Interestingly enough, I happened to step outside with my camera at the same time the scuffle took place. It was so dark Gabe didn't see me. I got the evidence on file by chance as I was trying to figure out whether or not my camera would take photos in the dark.

I am not sure these two will ever like each other, but they still need to practice brotherly love. It's a constant work in progress.

Gussy hates posed photos. Can you tell?

Joachim was in bed with a fever. I awoke him to take his temperature one last time and give him meds to help him sleep comfortably through the night. Since it was still the height of the eclipse, I asked him if he wanted to see the moon.

Me: Joachim, you wanna see the moon? It's red.
Joachim: Awwwww, who painted the moon?

Love this kid!

  1. Stunning photography, Elizabeth!

Joachim, you are so adorable. I wish every family could have a kid your age always. It goes too fast!
