Sunbathing

She's not fond of this kind of freedom. I don't blame her - open air with no snuggles.

Some of our babies tend to develop jaundice in the first week or two. Nathaniel spent 3 days in NICU with an elevated bilirubin count of 22. Elizabeth had a count of 17 and escaped the hospital route. I've learned to put the babies near a sunshiny window (20-30 minutes) for a few days if there are any rays beaming through.

Seraphia has been very difficult to nurse and I have done nothing but try day in and day out to wake her for most feedings and try to get her to latch on. It's going to take a bit of work and I hope she catches on sooner than later. It is so lovely when they catch on from day one, but it's not always been the case with our babies. She's off to a slow start.

  1. Sorry about the nursing. I will pray for you both. I have had bad starts with all of our babies. Some just bad and some excruciating. It takes me a full month to not hurt. I almost dread it more than labor. Almost. I will pray!
