I've never attempted a toddler dental cleaning. They are usually around 4 years old when I schedule their first dental exam. Joachim wasn't so sure this was a good idea at first either.
He's still not certain this is going to be a good experience. He wasn't sold on the idea, yet he managed to choose cookie dough flavored toothpaste. Yuck! I always choose mint.
She's showing him how the cleaning instruments work. At this point he still has great reservation about this whole business.
Getting to hold the mirror was a big hit. It paved the way for the cleaning to begin.
Picking out cool sunglasses won him over.
Nancy did a FANTASTIC job with Jojo! She was impressed at how big he opened his mouth for her. He was also a VERY cooperative patient. He said "yes" to every question, even when the answer should have been "no!" He's quite the story teller. Seldom trust an almost 3 year old:)
