Astigmatism

We found out today that Francesca has astigmatism in both eyes. So this means her eyes do not have the normal oval shape, but resemble that of footballs. So whenever she looks at something, only part of the object is clear and the rest is blurred. She's been sitting in the front of classroom more recently, patiently waiting for months for me to get around to finding an opthamologist. I am so thankful to live in the age of Google. It makes life so much easier when researching doctors.

She picked out these frames. I think they look adorable on her and frame her heart-shaped face perfectly. I think John was pleased too; she chose these over the Italian pair and saved us a whole lot of money;)

  1. Looking good! I just now realized that it was "astigmatism" and not "a stigmatism." Should probably not be admitting that, lol! :)

    1. Kateri, you are so humble. When I was in the doctor's office and they told me Francesca had an astigmatism, I quickly Google searched it on my cell typing in the words "stigmatism eyes" to find out more. I had a good laugh at myself when I realized my error. I would have never admitted it;)
