School has been a big adjustment for Augustine. He's not used to having such a rigidly structured day. This was a humongous struggle daily when homeschooling him. It was exhausting to keep him still and focused. I know he could easily be labeled ADD. I won't do that to him. Labels are not a good thing in this day and age. He has exhausted my patience more times than I care to mention.
With a few visits to the teachers and correspondence via emails, we've got a plan for him to succeed. So far, I see great improvement.
He has a ton going for him. He has great leadership qualities and likes to take charge. He sticks up for those that are wrongly accused and likes to have facts presented.
His concern for others is genuine. This is the picture he colored for a Parkinson's patient that the class writes to at a nursing home.
Yay! I'm so glad that school is working out for him.
