Dirty Laundry

I believe we've only had to use the laundromat twice in the last 15 years. It took me 20 minutes to figure out these machines - very frustrating. I can't wait until we have a set of our own at the rental. It's easy to take things for granted in the modern era.

One nice thing about doing laundry at the laundromat is getting all the wash done at once; we had heaps of laundry. If we ever build a home, I hope to have a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers.  

I met a nurse here tonight that lost one of her two sons to an electrocution accident 2 years ago.  He would have been 20. Her husband recently left her too. There is so much suffering in the world. I felt guilty for complaining about my small trifles prior to her sharing her story. I'm slowly learning that our burdens will feel lighter if we focus our attention to others and not our own miseries.
