This memorial is extra special to me. My siblings and I purchased a small statue many years ago for my mom's birthday. It was her favorite depiction of Our Lady under the title Madonna of the Streets. That very same statue was used as a model to have this replica (above) of the Madonna of the Streets molded and placed at the center of the memorial.
Today, on the feast of Our Lady Help of Christians, we lay our little Gianni Marion to rest behind this memorial to the unborn.
Our little baby is right below his/her cousin Raphael. They are both in the best of company!
Fr. Redfern, the priest at St. Francis of Assisi, was very kind to offer a little memorial service for our little one and give this mama some much needed closer. It was an absolutely beautiful day and there was just enough wind to blow the blossoms from the trees during the service. It was so special. I could not have asked for more.

Our quick jaunt to Necedah ended with prayers at the foot of John's parents' grave site. You are both sadly missed, Marybeth and Lou. Thank you for such a wonderful son! He has been a blessed husband and father.
