Our realtor called again yesterday.
He wants to walk through our house next week.
"How soon do you think your home will be ready to show?" he asks. "I have a potential buyer who would like to look at it."
"Just as soon as the kids move out," was what I was thinking in my own little realistic thought bubble.
Perhaps I exaggerated when I verbalized my very short work list. If he saw my "To Do Memo" I don't know what he would think.
Welcome to our home. Kick off your shoes (hopefully you'll find them before you leave) and grab yourself a cup of coffee this morning- you will have to wash out your mug first.
At least we have one clean bathroom.
St. Joseph the Worker, you know you're one of my best friends. Today on your feast day, please remember this family in a very special way. Shower on us a whole lot of grace and perhaps a Mary Poppins landing on our lawn with her umbrella wouldn't be such a bad idea either. The snap of her fingers to get things in order would be lovely.

Oh my. I'm so sorry! I'm tired just looking at the pictures, lol! Moving with little people stinks. I'm hoping we never have to do it again. Hang on there, though, and happy feast of St. Joseph the Worker!!
ReplyDeleteOddly, it makes me feel better to post these photos. I know we'll get there. I just wish it were sooner than later, lol!
DeleteOur Lady of the Counter. Lol! I hope I never have to move until the kids are gone. Were paying for you all!
ReplyDeleteI almost choked on my ice cream when I read this. John and I both laughed out loud together after I read this to him - Our Lady of the Counter.
DeleteThank you for the prayers:) One thing I am doing before this move that I had not done in the past is purge TONS. It should make our move much more pleasant, especially if we have to rent briefly. Less is more.
