Andrew Turns 18

Where does the time go? I remember the day I held this fatty baby in the hospital 18 years ago in Milwaukee. I could not get over the rolls on my 9 pound chub. He had quite the little appetite, too:) He grew up to be tall, thin and handsome yet still has an appetite.

Smart phone "selfies" never existed back then, thank goodness. At times they can interfere with the moment. I sure do have some great kids though (and a bratty puppy). Looking at this photo gives me great joy. I sometimes think I'm so busy doing whatever it is that I do that I forget to simply love these kids. They are precious. Sometimes it takes a simple 18th birthday photo to remind me just how precious they are and how much I love them.

Happy Birthday, Drewy! Keep bringing your laughter to the home and your great example to your siblings and others especially when it comes to hard work and responsibility. Dad and I really notice.
