Desperately Seeking Spring

Spring, summer, winter, fall...who says sports have to be seasonal? After all, people around this neck of the woods jump in icy cold water in the month of March to raise money. Insane. Gussy is not the only one who took out the golf clubs; all this week I was surprised to see grown men swarming the Ledgeview Golf Course. I think everyone felt cooped up this winter. I guess this is our spring. I'm so desperate I'll take what is dished out. Do I really have a choice? Lol!

I have never seen so many birds this past winter. I don't know what this means. Even robin redbreast hung around during the cold months. It was very unusual.

The sandbox finally drained out. It was a frigid pond for the last two weeks. Now the boys can at least make cold sloppy mudballs:)

Our daylily buds have been peeking through the ground for a few weeks and teasing us. I am looking forward to the blooms and scent of Lilacs on a breezy summer day. Until then I'll sing Olaf's song.

  1. I don't know how you do it! I'm totally spoiled by VA weather. I'll keep posting reminders in an effort to get you out here. Ha ha!
