A New Chapter Continued

After patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) waiting for well over an entire year, we now have some closure on John's job situation. This morning, exactly on the 14th Anniversary of his start of employment, John received the big news: we will be moving. John said there was a peacefulness about him when he learned this. He will not be on the SAFSTOR 2 Organization to continue the decommissioning process of the nuclear plant over the next two years. His contract goes until October 31st of this year. In the meantime, we hope to have our home on the market by next month while the Knight begins the job search process. There are so many weighted factors in all of this, but with much prayer and trust in our Lord it will all work out. Most of the children are very sad about it, but resilience runs strong in the young.

I may have to change the blog name to Life on the Run.;-)

Happy and Blessed Holy Thursday!!!

  1. We will pray for your job search and that God will lead you to a perfect place for your family! It must be so bittersweet. I can't imagine packing up and moving now, much less after a couple decades of raising a family in one place.

    1. There is no other option than to move, MaryAnn. John's job is too narrow and specialized a field to do anything other than something nuclear related. This limits us to approximately 10 states in the US. It will always be this way for us. It's par for the course.
