Today, Francesca and Andrew received a 1st place (minus a star) on their William Tell Class A Piano Duet. I know they were state material, but their performance this morning had a few boo boos and lacked accidentals so that cost them this privilege. They worked soooooo hard on their piece. There is always next year and I am happy with how well they did do! I just know what a disappointment it was for Andrew in particular to not get the star for state. (I was their page turner today so I could not record it. The link above is from their recital 3 months ago in which they played the same piece. John was at swimming lessons with the younger kids and could not be there today.) Congratulations you two!!! I am so proud of you both.
Congratulations again to Francesca!!! She placed a star first on her Vocal Class A Solo and moves on to state. She has been on cloud nine allllll day. I would be too.
Her voice brings joy to my heart. My smart phone recording does not do justice to how angelic she sounded in person.
