There's a whole lot of this white stuff being dumped all across the nation this winter. It would not be so bad if the wind would calm down and if the digits stayed on the positive side of the thermostat more days than not. Brrrrr! You know it's ridiculously cold when ALASKA is twice as warm as we are and we get excited when the numbers reach the teens. Some days we're happy to see 7 degrees! It is often so cold the kids can only handle 20 minutes or less outdoors or not at all. We are bouncing off the walls this winter. January and February in Wisconsin are penitential. Throw lent in there soon and you can call me Eeyore:) "Days. Weeks. Months. Who knows?" And that, my friend Eeyore, is exactly what I have to say about winters.
On that note, there is a
small part of me that hopes that John gets a job in a warmer state. Just today he reapplied at his current place of employment. It would only be a three year job opportunity until the plant gets the fuel in safe storage, which would put food on the table until the end of 2017. If he is not chosen for either of the two positions he applied for then we will be scrambling to put our home up for sale in 2-3 months. There is a
big part of me that wants to stay put and deal with winter in Gehenna for a few months out the year vs. uprooting our big family and chartering new territory. We'll see what path God has in store.
I'm excited to see what God has in store for you all! It must be a lot harder to move when there are so many family members!!
