Church Triumphant

I am thankful that today is a Holy Day in which we honor the Church Triumphant, because we - the Church Militant- needed a break in our crazy week. My Knight is home, too. Yeah! We visited the cemetery to pray for the Church Suffering in purgatory early this a.m. 

Then we went to early Mass. And...we may have meat today:) We ate bacon for lunch. We do meatless Friday's so I don't have to keep track of who did what penance on Friday as required by the Catholic Church. When they are older they may choose their own crown of thorns!

We are all indulging on All Hallow's Eve candy today that my children gratuitously are sharing with those of us who did not have a trick or treat bag last night.

I heard from our son this week. I found his platoon's FB page and saw photos of him. This is his New Arrival photo. Looking at this I was thinking, He stole my heart again as he did when he was a little boy. Please pray for him.

Life has been a good sort of busy.
