First Day of Middle School
I pray this is a good year for Gabriel. He has a FANTASTIC homeroom teacher and many other great teachers. When we visited his school (several times) this past year, we left with a good impression. It was like a home away from home with lots of traditional religious photos of saints like Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II. There were real crucifixes on the wall, not the risen Lord "end zone" ones that I'm not fond of. The curriculum was acceptable, too. While it isn't Seton, at least it is not what the public schools here are offering so I won't complain. The students appeared happy and looked like they were enjoying school. The principal said that our faith and character formation take precedence over education and sports because without the first the others don't matter. I was thrilled to hear this. I pray Gabriel finds good companions or they find Gabey. Praying for students this year more than ever!
