It rained and rained all night. The main storm gutter is located just outside our master bedroom. The loud trickling water making its way down the spout interrupted my sleep on and off through the night. Half asleep I thought, "Oh good, the small patches of leftover snow will be gone in the morning with all this rain." Not. Snow and ice were the product. This is what 6 a.m. looked like this morning. I ate breakfast and went back to bed for two more hours - too depressing. I won't have this sleep option luxury when the older kids go to school next year.

Mini Boden that is in full bloom and irresistibly pick-able!
