While our dear priest is on vacation, we are blessed to have another exceptional priest filling in in his absence, Canon Talarico. He is a native of Pennsylvania and the Substitute for the Provincial at the
Chicago apostolate of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.
I believe it was about 6 years ago that our entire family attended his ordination in St. Louis, MO and received his first blessing as a priest. Augustine was a toddler at that time. Little did we know he would become our spiritual director.
Canon Talarico is the most optimistic person I have ever met. He is always cheerful and lights up a room with his joy. He has a great knowledge and understanding of the importance of family life. As he said, "We lead by example" and was quick to pitch in with the dishes.
