Egg Hunt

By the time I got up from a much needed nap, the rain had thankfully stopped and the sun peeped through the clouds - an answered prayer. The kids were ready for the hunt. Francesca hid the eggs - all 96 of them.

We switched to plastic eggs this year with a chocolate surprise inside. I am far too scrupulous a person to continue hiding the blessed hard boiled eggs that the kids colored on Holy Saturday. Once Grandpa drove all the way back home with one on his car bumper where it had been hidden. Very funny incident, but I could not help but worry about it and what would become of it if not properly disposed of in the ground.

I think Gussy was more excited about finding his misplaced wooden sword than eggs. What a boy!

Jojo looked so bored inside. At other times I can see how much he wants to be a part of the fun and action when the kids are busy with something or playing. He's going to be a stinker when he's mobile. Here comes trouble!

Gabe has reached the point where this just isn't cool anymore;-) He helped Johnny throughout the hunt- a kind big brother gesture.

  1. Looks like the kids had a lot of fun. It must have been pretty eggs-citing! That's a neat picture of John and Jojo through the window-it looks very artistic.
