Magdalena Celebrates A Decade of Life

This special little lady turned 10 this snowy February morning! Magdalena shared her big day with lots of special friends. They sipped lemonade in tea cups, painted pottery, planted zinnias, took turns pounding bubble gum and cow tails out of the pinata, and concluded the celebration with a treasure hunt.

The conversations that took place were delightful and I loved the interactions between them all. One would know just by listening that this was a Catholic bunch of girls. We overheard snippets of what they have given up for lent individually or as a family: TV, sweets, extra penances, and  "You will eat whatever I put in front of you!" Little girls know how to keep the conversation flowing. I don't think there was a moment of silence from the time they stepped in the door until the time they left. It was a lot of fun!

We love you, baby girl! Hugs and kisses.

  3. Happy 10th Birthday, Magdalena! What a fun party you had! So nice to see so many happy girls in one place. It looks like a lot of planning went into it. (Planning must have been half the fun!) The big tissue paper flowers reminded me of the flower garland our mom used to have a long time ago. When we lived in Chicago, I remember getting it out for special occasions and putting it up.
