Family Life

The girls made a cake on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (Johnny was trying to get in the photo.)

I was invited to sing the Missa Secunda with the choir that morning at Mass. It was the highlight of my day. It is a really fun Mass to sing. I couldn't find a decent recording of it to share from youtube with a nice blend of voices nor balance, but this is a tolerable recording of the Gloria HERE. I'll admit it is a tough Mass to stay on key. You have to really listen to each other to not end up going flat by the end of the piece.

Advent - Week Two
We figured something out last year. After the first week you don't continue to light the original candle. Light the two new purple ones and save the original purple one for the last week. This way they melt evenly and you don't have to worry about cashing in your insurance policy due to a short candle.

Real life. I guess I need to vacuum under the cushions more regularly. Wowzers! Mag's missing polka dot sock, the remote (classic place to find one), flattened raisins, wrappers from Halloween, plus a whole lot more.

Jojo loves Maggy!

Joachim spits up A LOT. Sometimes it is projectile which had me a little concerned, but he has soaked diapers, regular bowel movements and is filling out nicely. This also means we go through a full load of laundry for him alone some days - yes, a full load. That is not a complaint - honest. They've had some really cute clothes for boys this season and it gave me an excuse to get extra clothes for him.

Left eye dominant. Daddy is pleased. He thinks he'll be left handed like he is.

Note Jean-Marie's upper lip (pictured left). I guess [milk] mustaches are the in thing!

  2. You all look great! I can't belive how big Joachim is already.

Thankfully, our couch cushions aren't removable. There is PLENTY of JUNK in the cracks, though. Classic.

  3. Love all the pics! Joachim is SO cute! Our boys used to throw up a lot too. But it was just a phase, then it got better. They certainly didn't lose weight, though, so I wasn't too worried. Both Steve and Mike were born in the winter, so the snow suit got washed a lot. Part of it I think was that I tried to nurse before going to church and other places so that they would sleep and not be hungry during mass, but it didn't always go according to plan. Enjoy your wonderful family!
