Four months
It is a gorgeous day in Wisconsin! I'm spending the day with my nine Gems and my Knight. We are not going anywhere or doing anything. We are vegging out at home. It has taken me a very long time to "settle" and I am finally to a point in my life where I like to just be home. I have always felt the need to be somewhere doing something. And today that something is just being. Being here. Being with those that are most precious to me; my big family. They are all in the kitchen together making brunch (without too much fighting- ahem. ;-) )
We began the day at church with a rosary procession in honor of Our Lady, which ended with our priest adorning her with a crown of pink roses. She looked lovely! After Mass, I requested the Blessing of an Expectant Mother. I have always waited until the ninth month to do this, but I am getting "older" and I want the peace of knowing that all rests in the hands of Our Merciful Savior, "guarding the life that is within me."
Here is a collage of Mother's Day surprises from the grapevine:
Those roses opened up so nicely. And you look great. Happy Mother's Day!
