Welcoming the royal party on their return from the war (Gabriel-boy on right in photo above, photo below, Gabriel with tiger mask).
Beatrice fills Hero's head with "words of wisdom" for the masquerade dance.
Hero (Elizabeth) is won over and the wedding date is set for Count Claudio by the prince.
Balthasar (Francesca) sings:
Sigh no more, ladies, Sigh no more,
Men were deceivers ever,
One foot in sea and one on shore,
To one thing constant never:
Then sigh not so, but let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into Hey nonny, nonny.
Sing no more ditties, sing no moe,
Of dumps so dull and heavy;
The fraud of men was ever so,
Since summer first was leavy:
Then sigh not so, &c.
Kathy Kelley stated in our diocesan newspaper, The Compass, "I am continually amazed at how these kids do Shakespeare after only a few months of dedicated time in the summer. In my opinion the kids do a better job than the professionals in retaining the tone of Shakespeare," she said. "The kids bring their sense of wonder and innocence to the productions. I am most proud that they are willing to challenge themselves to do something that involves so much hard work, and that what they accomplish is something they will never forget."
The watch (Maggy is the peanut in the center) helped capture the culprits and set things right.
