Visit With John's Aunt Jean

Nathaniel out front of St. Francis de Sales Seminary before we headed off to visit Aunt Jean in Indiana. No, he's not considering the priesthood. He was on the first annual Sursum Corda retreat offered by the priests of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.

Aunt Jean accompanied us to the Renaissance Fair, a special event taking place at her local farmer's market. Gabriel tried his luck at pulling this man off his post by rope. There were all sorts of fun things going on and tents set up with bee keepers, wool soaps, stained glass, weavers, spinners, live music, etc. We purchased a few authentic French pastries made by an order of nuns residing in Chicago. Scrumptious!

Aunt Jean's pond that the kiddos couldn't stay away from.

 Dangling toddler feet~ precious!

The culprit that threw Bella's favorite chewy toy into the pond. Bel jumped in to retrieve it (as any Springer Spaniel would do) and then came running into Aunt Jean's house shaking off everywhere simultaneously getting everything and everyone wet. Gulp.

At this point, Aunt Jean is still smiling. =) Even after the stress of having many busy children as guests. It had been 10 years since our last visit. Our family size had doubled.

Not sure if the geniuses thought about it at the time, but when siblings take photos of other siblings, it makes the process of elimination a lot easier in determining who was doing what they weren't supposed to. Conclusive evidence of tree climbing. Shh! I won't tell if you don't.
