A Person's a Person

Please keep us in your prayers for a safe and prayer filled journey to the March 4 Life in Washington, D.C. All three teens raised enough funds this year by going door to door selling Younkers sale coupon booklets. They ventured into neighborhoods known and unknown.  It gave them an opportunity to use essential social skills (that home schooled children are often accused of lacking) and educate those who otherwise were pro-abortion or "neutral". We were happily surprised to learn how many pro-life people are in our neighborhood. It is a good sign that either people are being educated about the truth or that we live in a neighborhood with conscience, Deo gratias. Maybe it was that they just like to shop Younkers. :-) It also was a great lesson in humility for the children at all levels. After all, it wasn't as if they could knock on a door and say, "Hi, would you like to buy some cookies, popcorn or pizzas? We're trying to raise funds for new band uniforms for school." No, their knock was a plea to exercise an ignored right to life for the little ones who have been silenced. Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the unborn, pray for us!

PS Whisper a prayer for the grand Knight, too. His work will require great endurance keeping order of his kingdom during the absence of the rest of his Court of lords and ladies.
