Terrific Twos

Jean-Marie huffed!
And he puffed!

And he blew those candles right out...so he thought.
Minutes prior...

Several of us ransacked cabinets looking for the candles. None to be found.  After a while of searching, mom found a lone candle in a box in the basement. Problem ~ we needed two. Dad found a solution to the candle problem..."We'll cut the candle in half!" Hence, two candles.

We had no idea they were trick candles until after his first successful blow. There was continuous blowing with the appearance of no results and one perplexed little two year old. His disappointment when the candles relit showed on his questioning facial expressions. He quickly resolved to be a good sport. By about the 5th time and with the help from a few siblings, the fun wore off (for Jean-Marie) and Dad removed the stubby candles from the cake...with salad tongs;-) It was then he quickly lit up and began clapping and saying...
..."Yea!"
Tradition to lick the cake toppers:-p

"Cweam." (A special way of pronouncing ice cream.)

Gum!
"Mehwee!" (aka Mary) He never ceases to recognize his patron. Thank you for the framed print, Godmother!

Happy 2nd Birthday Jean-Marie, our littlest Pooh Bear:-)
