Sweet 16!

The oldest estrogen bearing child has turned 16! It's a glorious day indeed. The whole world changes (in her eyes;-)) The long awaited day... she no longer chooses to sneak and wear eye makeup; it's now legal by our rules! To further confirm this, mom even took her to get a facial yesterday at the Clinique counter. Oh, yeah, the joys of growing up!

She asked for a desk for her birthday. It's funny how life is so different for a home schooled mind. I'd never in a million years had asked for such a gift at her age.

Happy Sweet 16 to our precious Gem, Elizabeth. We love you!

  1. Happy Sweet 16th, Elizabeth!!! The facial looks like it was fun, and what a nice desk! Will you be driving soon, or maybe you already are? Enjoy being 16. It's a fun age. Love and hugs,
Aunt Mary Ann and Uncle Jack, Steve, Em, Laura, and Mike :-)

  2. Thanks you for your comments!
I am not certain when I will have the priviledge of driving. I don't even have my temps yet! Maybe I'll get them in the Spring.
    Love and God Bless,
    Your Goddaughter, niece, and cousin,
    Elizabeth

  3. Happy Birthday Elizabeth! I love your pink room and your new desk. The facial looked like so much fun. You are looking great. My girls are already into make-up because they watch me put it on every morning. The only time they get to wear make-up though is Halloween and dance recitals. Maybe that's why those events are so exciting for them. They asked if Kateri was going to wear make-up for her wedding and when I said "yes" they said, "Well, she'll really be beautiful then!" Make-up is fun. I don't think I could live without it!
