A Comedy of Magic and Mercy by William Shakespeare

We're so thankful that the girls had the opportunity to be a part of the cast in The Saint Anthony Guild Players production of Shakespear's, The Tempest. These youth share a passion and talent for acting, as well as the Catholic Faith ~ a promising combination.

Francesca played one of the seven Nymphs. A Nymph could change form to that of a bat or dog. Her role (along with the others) was to torment certain members of the royal party in either of the latter forms mentioned. This was done at the command of Prospero's servant Ariel (my favorite character.)

In Act IV, Iris, Ceres, and Juno portrayed three goddesses who sang and blessed the new couple, Miranda (Prospero's daughter) and Ferdinand (a member of the Royal party.) Elizabeth played the harvest spirit, Ceres. The three spirits, Iris, Ceres, and Juno, joined in dance with the nymphs and reapers.

Currently, I'm unable to upload photos from my camera of the actual play itself, boo hoo! I snagged these two complete cast photos from a facebook post ;-)
