We pray. God answers. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later, and sometimes in ways we don't recognize to be answers or not they way we intended at all. And then...there are times that He gives you things without even being asked . I'd like to touch on the latter.
At the beginning of June, one of the several organists from our church called and spoke with John while I was on retreat. She mentioned that another organist had told her that our son Andrew expressed an interest in organ lessons enabling him to play for Mass. She said she wouldn't teach him if we didn't have an organ to practice on, which, we did not. Logical. Prior to calling our home, she had spoken with a college professor that had an organ for sale two years ago and she had called to see if he still had it. In fact he did and would sell it for $200.00~ a steal! Midway through their phone conversation, she asks John to hold on so she could take another call. After several minutes, she was back on the line, telling John that the gentlemen had discussed it further with his wife and they decided to donate the organ to our family. Wow! Furthermore, dear Grace,(who will soon retire) will teach Andrew for free...talk about "grace" falling from the sky! It couldn't be more obvious. God is in charge!
