Happy 14th Andrew!

As the children grow older, it's fun to see them develop their own creativity. And in our home their ideas usually reveal themselves in the kitchen. So we let them experiment and often get some pretty amazing results like Andrew's Birthday cake that he made on his own. I helped with the frosting:)

Andrew's friend called as we sang Happy Birthday, which really helped me out in the Smile Department.

His gift: A paintball tank that is somewhere between here and who knows where on a UPS truck.

  1. Happy 14th Birthday, Andrew! Wow! What a neat cake! You are very creative. You really should consider opening up some kind of bakery and/or restaurant when you are older. Maybe you could take some business classes to learn how to run your own business. It seems like a natural fit for you.

  2. Aunt Mary Ann is right! You should definitely open a cake decorating business. Our friends down the street did this. I think Sebastian was about 11 yrs old when he started selling cakes at homeschool events and now makes and sells them to friends for parties etc. It is a great business, except for the fact that his mom has to run out to get all the ingredients all the time and they've been known to call up neighbors on the spur when they run out of a critical ingredient . . . but I don't mind. It is lots of fun!
