......or in English, "Time Flies!" Yes, the year flew by, once again. And so begins 2010. While I don't intend to make a public confession here and now in retrospect of my past year, it's always a good idea to do a reality check and see things as they really are. I for one, know that tomorrow never comes and God has asked me to be a saint today. Therefore, there is MUCH work to be done on my part to become a better servant, wife, mother, and friend.
Five Helps for the New Year: summary from the pulpit of Canon H. at today's Mass of the Circumcision of Our Lord
1. Daily Prayer = channel of grace
2. Sacraments = there is nothing more binding than to be bound to Christ through the sacraments
3. Spiritual Reading = what am I teaching my children? I can't pass on what I do not have.
4. Be Living Charitably = put a little love into everything I do and into every ONE
5. Imitate the Divine Infant = pour out our blood in the sacrifices God wants us to make to change our lives
Ultimately, spend 2010 as if it's the last year and spend it well; Die to ourselves.
May you experience the intercession of Holy Mother Mary in the coming year! God bless all of my readers in the coming year and may grace abound in your lives. ~ Mary
