Day 1 was spent hangin' out at Dad and my sister Annmarie's home playing Yahtzee and coloring some of my dad's leather work.
Day 2, Saturday, we ventured out on a mini pilgrimage to pray at the tomb of Venerable Solanus Casey. You may read about his life story here.
"Shake off excessive worry and exercise a little confidence in God's merciful Providence." ~Father SolanusBehind Nathan and tantrum throwing baby is a display of treasures belonging to the Capuchin Fr. Solanus Casey
And lastly, Sunday, on St. Nicholas' feast day, we visited Greektown in Detroit and enjoyed authentic stuffed grape leaves (dolmathakia) and spinach pie(spanakopita) at the Pegasus.

Sounds like a neat trip! I hope you had good traveling weather. Your dad must have been so happy to see all of you. It's too bad we all live so far apart from each other. I often think it would be so neat if all the people who are near and dear to us all lived in one area, and our church and work was there too, and no one had to drive more than 5 or 10 miles to get to any of these places.
