Every year in early spring we have the opportunity to view this small 35-foot waterfall which descends over the escarpment. While not nearly as breathtaking as the waterfalls of Hawaii, it's certainly a notable view of God's creation.
History buffs can click on the title of the post for more info. about this formation.
I didn't realize there was such a nice waterfall near you. It reminds me of Minihaha Falls in the twin cities. Jack and I went there a couple of times. It was really neat in the winter time because you could see the water coming down around the water that froze earlier. You could almost walk under it. Have you ever been to Niagara Falls? It amazes me that the lake above doesn't ever empty out when you think of the millions of gallons of water flowing over it continually. And how doesn't it just flood everything below? It's amazing!
ReplyDeletePS: I like your spring border.
We have'nt been to Niagara Falls. It was on our itinerary when we went to the Auriesville Pilgrimage years ago in New York, but we couldn't fit it in. Maybe someday.....
